A hardcore fan of former late Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy surprised the cinephiles by purchasing a single ticket of Yatra for a whopping $ 6,116 (Rs 4.37 lakhs) at an auction in Seattle, US.

Munishwar Reddy, an ardent YSR fan, bought the first ticket (a $12 ticket) of Yatra for Rs 4.37 lakhs in a bid. The makers of the film are going to donate the fund generated through this auction to the YSR Foundation. The film 'Yatra' is based on Rajasekhar Reddy's statewide padayatra and how he emerged as the Chief Minister of AP in 2004.

Directed by Mahi V Raghav, the film starring Malayalam superstar Mammootty in the lead is going to hit screens on 8th February. Vijay Chilla and Shashi Devireddy have bankrolled this biographical project under 70 MM entertainment banner. The makers have thanked all those fans who attended the auction event in the US. Recently, the pre-release event of Yatra was held grandly in Hyderabad.
